Our current production of Spinning Yarns: The Robot’s Tail plays for two more Saturdays up at The Side Project Theater in Rogers Park, and if you haven’t made it to the show yet, you’ve been missing out on all the fun!

Rascal Children’s Theatre will hold auditions for its upcoming show
The Boy Who Went to Find Fear written and directed by Nick Izzo. The
show runs every Saturday at 1 pm October 9-30 . Auditions will be
held on Saturday, July 17 from 1-5pm at The SideProject (1439 W.
Jarvis.) Auditioners are asked to bring headshot and resume and to
prepare a 1 minute monologue (appropriate for children’s theatre)
Email rascalchildrenstheatre@gmail.com with your preferredtime and use
“Audition request” in your subject line.

In the last few days, wordpress has been doing that quite often through several blogs, though when we go in to edit posts, the images are there clear as day. Rascal Children’s Theater presents our newest show:

ANNALEE JONES AND THE MEANIE GENIE

Written and directed by Chelsea M. Marcantel

All Annalee Jones wants for her tenth birthday is her own phone.

And a new bike.

And maybe a drum.

And for her mom and dad not to forget about her – again!

So, when a rhyming genie pops out from under her bed and offers to give her everything she wants, Annalee knows that this is going to be the birthday of her dreams! But, with the Meanie Genie, nothing comes for free, and it’s up to Annlee to decide how much she’s willing to lose to have the things she thinks will make her happy.

(Featuring: Amanda Bobbitt, Kevin Crispin, Megan Hincks, Tom McGrath, and Lisa Siciliano. Rachel Staelens serves as the Stage Manager.)

Performances are Saturdays from 1/23 to 2/13 at 1pm

Farewell, Judith Lynn!

Thanks to everyone who attended and helped out for the four performances of JUDITH LYNN!

We had a lovely run, and though it’s sad to see great shows end, we’re excited for our next production!
